Arts Action Alert

Wow, Look who is on the CAN Board. I signed up and have sent a few emails to help out and no wonder I have not heard back... These are the busiest and most involed Art Leaders in Portland. The Creative Advocacy Network, a new non-profit working towards a regional dedicated funding solution for the arts, is working hard to make sure that the Regional Arts and Culture Budget is preserved by Portland City Council. On March 12th at 2:00 RACC( 2008 annual report) will be giving their “State of the Arts” presentation to Portland City Council and describing how last year's investments in the arts benefitted the City. It is important that City Council see strong support and solidarity from the arts community.

Tan The Man: Deadline Today

Just in case you have not been following Carissa's site or twittering with Brandy- this week or ever. Ladies & Gents everywhere are talking about James Titterton's newest project that he launched less than a month ago. He is still looking for creative submissions from people all over the world- by today! I got these great pictures with James' permission. I hope he gets an invite to come to Portland, Oregon with this show or another -or- Who is up for a UK trip to Petworth, West Sussex? I am so excited to see the finished image or design that is chosen! James will actually stand as an exhibit at Arden and Anstruther!
